Little Isolation

Silence froze the world in mid-turn, But only for a moment Before it staggered again. Halves never the same And each spin sent it dancing, Drunkenly dancing at another degree. It wanted to be closer to the fire That warmed its ice cheeks, Spinning and flipping in a tantrum. Tears fell repeatedly As drowning life muttered its last gasp And darkness framed the eyes. Crying to the heavens and the stars, That world sat, But all showed their backs, Ignoring the abandoned hand. That little world grew While the others stayed the same. Now filled with life, It is determined to prove the others wrong, But not by getting even. That world will do what the others didn't- Help.
