A "little" light

Genesis 1:1-3

The Creation of the World

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water. 3 God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light!

A little light

Walking on the beach facing the horizon

Sand and water is all that I can see

Nothing here to eat or drink ... nothing much to hang on

And “they” say life started here ... a good time now to weep

A little light, paper and pen in search of understanding

Somewhere in space and time the spoken word appeared

A never ending sound that still moves through the ages

with simple instructions and a call for help so near

Words and life walk hand in hand ... one lost without the other

The heartbeat of existence is the energy on its embrace

The miracle of it all is that no substance was needed

to make all things appear except the human race
