The Little Light Inside

I used to sing in church about the little light of mine and letting it shine. When I was attacked, I forgot about that light. I stopped singing, did things out of spite. The face in the mirror was no longer mine. A face once supple and warm and sweet Now turned cold and hostile and dull She wasn't me She isn't me, I thought. So I fought to find my little light again I fought to make it shine. The sun came out differently that day I started to sing. I looked into the mirror as I sang I started to glow That glow has kept me going And I will continue to glow to show The Little Light Inside
