LITTLE MAN

Dear little man, I know you don't understand what's going on right now, perhaps you never will. I wish I could find a shortcut through all these trials to make things easier. Only if it was up to me, I would. But you have to remember what I taught you. You can't change for the better if you take shortcuts, it makes you forget where you came from, and what you should be grateful for. I don't want you to change for the worst, I want you to make yourself better. Things will workout in the end, even if it feels like it never will. Success is meant to be a process, not given. One day you'll look back at all the suffering and setbacks, being proud that you went through it. Because you'll be humble, not selfish. Don't get me wrong, there are days where you will feel powerless, like nothing is ever going to workout your way. Like everything is just impossible, like you can't communicate. Everything may seem lost from the lack of supporters behind you. They stonewall what you want to do, and criticize you. They don't know what it means to have a dream, or live through something that keeps you sane. They can't relate to the greats, so they try everything to make you feel ashamed. Like you're not worth anything, or you're only going to be worth what they want you to be in life. It feels distressful, like you're living on a different page, with no angle. I understand why you don't trust much, because of the experiences you've been through. I understand why you prefer to be alone, it's because all of your bestfreinds turn against you. It's not you're fault, you're not the bad person. They will tell the world otherwise to make you seem like a bad person. It's out of their own personal feelings. It's not because of you, it's because they hate themselves. So they have to destroy you. You will always be alone, even when you find love. Because you've been alone all your life, so that's all you will ever know. I just want you to know, even though you're always alone, I'll always be your bestfreind. Me and you may not always get along, but I'm here for you. Sincerely The Man In The Mirror.
