The Little Mer-man

We all know the story of the Little Mermaid

How Princess Ariel was banned from exploring the sea shore by her father; King Triton,

But did so anyway and managed to find love at first sight with Prince Eric

Who gets saved from drowning - due to shipwreck - by Ariel and she sung him into consciousness

And when he fully awakes, he vows to marry her one day.

The conflict of interest at this point; he didn't know she was a mermaid...

So she tries becoming a human, but has to trade her voice for a pair of legs

Meaning when she wouldn't be able to talk whenever she was around him.

Now, what if Prince Eric knew Ariel wasn't human, and happened to be keeping a major secret of his own

Like the fact that he too is a "mer-person"?

But the only time his mer-man traits become present to his kind is when he's scubadiving.

With that being said, Prince Eric willingly takes Ariel on a scubadiving adventure under the sea,

And transforms into his true self; a handsome, carefree, masculine mer-man.

Ariel then realizes she truly found her better half, and Prince Eric finally marries Princess Ariel - both in "mer-person" form -

In the same area she resscued him.
