Little Moments

To a Friend,

Always remember the

little moments.

Rosy cheeks,

Lightly tanned face,

Chapped lips,

Windblown hair.

Flakes of the white snow

Decorate her braid,

Latch onto her eyelashes,

Wander down to cheeks.

A Beautiful, bright, blue

Shines out from her eyes.

Little freckles

Dot her nose,

And dance under her eyes.

A grey jacket hangs loose

Around her waist.

Too big for her,

But she likes it that way.

Her eyes start to sparkle as

Her lips quirk to the side and

A smile graces her face.

She sits down at the table,

She gushes on about

What a wonderful time she had.

Those little moments.

I would be lost in the world

Without you by my side.

I know I will never be able

To know your struggle.

The best I can do it to ask you

To try and always remember

Those little moments.

Those little moments of

Happiness

Sadness

Joy

Sorrow

Delight

Pain

Surprise

Love

Those little moments

That let you know you are alive.

That let you know that I care for you.

That let you know that you are loved.

Please remember the little moments,

When you are so far gone

In the deep, dark, abyss

And you feel as if there is no one in the world

Who cares for you,

Remember those little moments.

With love,

A Friend
