For The Little Ones
When thinking simply, yes it may be easy to see
That we humans change much more than our little hearts would've believed.
When young, we imagine we will always stay the same,
we will always be so honest, pure, and will cause very little pain.
But as we grow, we go through life and the experiences' create our paths,
We lose sight of who our little selves once were, and take on all new wraths.
Experiences tend to change our fears, views, and daily lives,
but do you really think our younger selves no longer exist inside?
I still see it easy to discover that little one,
they always come out to play when they see a little fun.
All it takes is a familar face or a memory from their chlidhood years,
and you will see the same bright-eyed child that once had no fear.
