Little Red

In the woods where no one knows

Quite, where their road will go

Little girls in cloaks of white

Hope, to make it through the night

It's a long way to Granny’s house

Wolves prowl while they spin

Comforting Illusions to lure girls in

Lies etched in wicked grins

‘I love you’

It’s hard to see past

A caring mask

Until you’re

Already

Consumed

One little girl refused

to stay stomach-small

So she grew

And she ripped

And tore

And clawed

To escape her wolves enthrall

Her Grandmother never grew

So, she left

Cloaked in

A bloody

Red
