Little Red Beauty and the Beast

Once upon a time

There once lived a young boy

He did commit a heinous crime

By taking arrogance as his ploy

To shield his young and troubled heart

From those he feared might take it

To those who cared he'd have no part

No one could find the missing piece that could fit

So when upon that fatefull night

An ancient witch came to test the future king

On a stormy eve she gave him quite the fright

and into his house he would not bring

On him she cast a horrible curse

A monster by night and man by day there was nothing worse

A hundred thosand years go by

And in the forest a monster lurks

Only go out if the sun is high

You'll never want to see the monstrus smirk

All except for one young maiden

feared the shadows in the woods

She felt at home with the trees fruit laden

She oft brought back to sell the goods

Then one day she wandered too far within the trees

Turned around and hopelessly lost

Things changed and began to freeze

Everything locked in an eternal frost

Despite the red hood the girl shook with chill and fear

Though she refused to let slip a single tear

The beast found the girl shivering and blue

He carried her to his home upon his back with no fight

With him she was safe she knew

With the man with eyes as black as night

He took her up and locked her in

He couldn't trust the girl in red

Fearing the threat she could have been

Yet kind enough to keep her fed

No one knew what to do

The maiden was small and fair

He wanted her to never have a clue

He couldn't risk her learning to care

For the mosnstrous beast he was

He feared he'd rip her with his claws

The girl spent time with the strange man

Both hiding from the other

Keeping up their guard they had a plan

They would remain undercover

Her keeping under her red hood

Him hiding behind his facade

For to them love was a falsehood

A painful sharp blade

They didn't want to know the truth

Blinded by what they thought they knew

Going by what happened in their lost youth

Knowing that true love is for a few

The ones with so much good to flaunt

They didn't know the signs

As slowly for eachother they fell

Trying hard to read between the lines

Bit by bit coming out their shell

It was on a stormy night she met the beast

She couldn't sleep and and went outside

The half man and half wolf was six feet tall at least

But the girl wouldn't run and hide

For she recongnised his endless eyes

Ans saw the gaping gash across his chest

She put aside their secrets and lies

And patched him up and forced him to rest

The little red beauty confessed her love

To the big bad wolf who's curse he was now free of
