Little Talks

I wish I could talk to you Things didnt go how I had planned. I didn't even have a plan. I went into it off balanced, Doomed from the start. "What did you have to talk to me about?" A long silence. I knew what was coming. "I really like you." I smiled and stared out the window, Somehow satisfied that I had known, Known it from the start. My mind ran a blank, I'm sure he was scared out of his mind. I smiled and glanced at him. "I didn't know how you would take it, I didn't want to make things awkward." I had been in that same position Not even two weeks before I had wanted to ask But resolved to wait it out Let things move on their own I knew it would come to this. Then I did what I swore I would never do. I cut him down. Let him out to dry. I never should have said what I said, If I could take it back I would. I would without a second thought. But what was said was said. And what is done cannot be undone. I wish I could talk to you. Face to face. I haven't been myself lately, I don't know what's going on. Am I going insane? These reflections These reflections that once brought me peace. Now bring me sadness. I pray that you are ok, I never wanted to hurt you. I'm so tired of being lonely.
