The Little Things

Location

Take time to cherish the little things

The sweet sound of birds in the crisp morning air

The surrounding warmth a blanket can provide

And the feel of wet sand between your toes

Take time to cherish the little things

Like the marvelous medicine laughter can be

A polite gesture made by an unknown stranger

And the feeling of belonging with kind-hearted friends

Take time to cherish the little things

A fresh page in a newly bought book

Staying in your comfy pajamas on a Sunday

And the amusing tales your grandparents can tell

Take time to cherish the little things

For if you don’t, you’re just wasting your day away
