The Little Things

Things that matter?
I dont know where to start.
I will name some of the things
That are dear to my heart.

Words of comfort or support
When life isn't kind,
Or just a listening ear
When things are on my mind.

Someone to be there with a smile
To brighten the day,
Make things a little better,
And to offer guidance along the way.

A firm hard to give a gentle shove
When there is a need.
A reassuring voice
To help me succeed.

Maybe it's just knowing someone will be there
To help along the way,
To be a gaurdian angel
Watching night and day.

I am talking about nursing.
That is important to me.
To go to college and
Hopefully one day be.

That special person
To lead the way,
And make a difference
Starting with TODAY.

I finally understand that it's the little things
That matter most of all.
I hope that I can help others in some way
No mater how big or how small.
