Little things

I have a bad habit

of noticing little things.

It's really hard not to

Be awestruck by tiny pebbles

Or even dead leaves.

I find myself constantly

longing to be set free

It's much more

Than a simple daydream

I look beyond the flesh

I see more than flowers and trees

Peering through fogged glass

Through the heart and soul

But maybe that's just me
