Little Wren

Flutter here--no, go there She goes where? Does she know? Does she care? Left her perch in vain search Sunset red Will not rest Little Wren Independence she craves Solitaire Befriends stars She's been marred Nothing breaks yet she aches Nothing wakes She was dumb She's now numb Circles bare naked air Suffocates She's okay? We must wait Envies passionate songs Chirps along She wishes Forgot how Time a blur--once was her Remember Little Wren Okay when?
