I see you, do you see me?, tell me

If you can. Can you see what's inside

Can you feel deep down. Can you see the heart

Can you even see the soul.

See it with the light or with the dark

because if you see it with the black

that can be found in us all

If it is in the center, the core of my very being

Then you see me as I am, sincere

I am my soul and spirit that is black as ink splattered night

You can try making it pure white, light to shine

Make the edges smooth and soft for the world.

But it is in vain for nothing can change the staining shadows in my heart to

Lights

For the black cries out to me and to you.

It is the child of the mother to-be

And in the black, the mother holds the little one, a dark light of life among the blood and warmth.

it bleeds in the dark of possibilities, opportunities, realities

So the mother is afraid of what will become of her child in the world

She fears for her infant so she sets out to end her fears

Groundless and weak, reasons are soon shown to her as her own helpless

attempts to convince that she has not ended a beautiful thing

such a little thing

that is never to be heard in the world now

That sweet dark and that joy will never be seen in the eyes of those who would love it

You, who could love the dark and embrace it as it is, love the black

of which cries out to you and only you

Bring that once so expected and deserving life into the world

The child

Don’t be afraid don’t fear that which the child may become in this world

Let it come in and grow, thrive, love, hate, need, want.

Feel

Live deep down, like no other can,let live how only you would in this black

For your life and yours alone cries out to you like

The child

In a different scene in time and space, you would see the healthy, newborn child and it’s proud happy mother.

And that baby would, grow, thrive, love, hate, need, want.

it will hurt and you know this

you fear this

that whatever pain that comes and stings so sharply will be more then what can be dealt with.

So reluctant to risk.

But please tell me, was the world not a lovely wonderful sight through your own eyes at so young an age

you had those wide marble glossy eyes, those baby eyes, so bright the stars would fade in comparison

You would deny this bliss to the new, not-even-one-blink-in,could-not-even-take-its-first-breath yet life before knowing what color his or her irises were

they could have been brown like daddy’s or blue like mommy’s or that pretty mix that wreaths it’s way around grandma’s pupils.

this sublime experience comes only as a follower or leader of the pain.

it is needed for life if all were afraid of pain would even the strongest or wisest survive.

fear turns our strengths into weakness, our wisdom into ignorance.

Do not be afraid.

Feel it here in the shadows. Don’t be afraid of the blood and the black

The chaos that you see every day in the back alleyways of the dead end streets.

The halls of your school that carries the footprints of a thousand lives within it.

Do not fear the war, the death, the sorrow, or the separation that dwells in the depths of these waters.

This is the promise land, makes hero’s of our forms, and takes out words we speak and flashes them back to the world with white hot light as Prophecy and Proverb.

Makes men of us so do not be afraid.

You hear of your everyday role model being excellent and you should know

They are no more human than you.

What is there to be afraid of when their are others, young and old, weathering worse storms.

How could you possibly consider this difficult

Who else has lived in such similar manic situations?

How many other dozens?

Do not hide behind your money, your self proclaimed power, your impudent attempts to deny the reality set before you. For you live on blood and black and in chaos.

It swells around you and your existence

The symptoms: laughs, tears, joys, hurts, smiles, cuts, screams

Do not deny the black you live in waist deep, wading in it with just you to see and

Explore the black, send its life to even the farthest reaches of the world.

Make it so. Bring your darkness to the people, the books, the universe.

Bring your life into this story for others to see

No regrets now. No hesitation. You are here for your life, so live and let live.
