To live
To live is to laugh, to lie
to chase the blue edge of the sky,
to watch the flowers open slow,
to lose the night and find the glow.
To hold someone and feel them stay,
to do what’s right, then lose your way.
To love, to wish, to ache, to try,
to break apart, to weep, to dry.
To give until your hands are bare,
to feel the world forget to care.
To see your mother one last time,
and know her love still lives in mine.
To live is to stumble, bloom, forgive
to die still thankful you could live.
