Live And Let Go

I put up walls for my protection Like the castles from the past Time flies by I know you're scared You see it all went so fast We pull ourselves from the hidden evil Just for that slight feeling of safety I'm Begging you to Look past the horizon because you won't find what your looking for here Apathy that's right isn't it? that's what you were searching for? You want someone to care Because no one was ever there To guide your feet as your chucks hit the pavement Instead you walked in circles tripping on your very own steps Waiting for that slight bit of connection, through the affection of an adolescent because your to weak to find it in the eyes of the wise But listen I'm telling you to welcome the struggle invite it in Because giving up is like a bad sin Don't trap your thoughts let them free make people believe you are worthy of what they said you weren't or never would be Confront the fear and say its only because you wish you could be me Push through all the doubts your heart puts in your head Forget all the black words you thought you heard they said Run up the highest mountains because they are small as a piece of sand Stand strong and create all of your own land To walk on with your pride high I know It's cliche but reach for the sky Open your eyes look deep into the blue But be careful the clouds will be there to try and stop you You see We all come from the same dirt Face the same struggles feel the same hurt We know time flys by faster than a cheetah in the wild We know as we get older it gets harder to smile Because now its all about who your with and where your headed But don't embed it in your mind find a way to get inside That will be what crushes you from the heart to your soul Learn to live and let go
