Live Life to the Fullest

Insulin is a beautiful drug

Without it I feel like a slug,

Every day, every hour, every minute, every second

More shots, more finger pricks, more water,  more sugar,

I need it. Or I die.

I didn’t wish to be this way,

But each morning is a brand new day.

I live my life to the fullest

Full of love, hope, and laughter.

Sometimes it hurts like a knife,

But for now Insulin is my life.
