LIVE MY CHILD
LIVE MY CHILD
My screams muffled by the hand over my mouth
Throat clenched by the other
My eyes grow wide with fear
Relentlessly he chokes me
Squeezing the life from my lips
You have aborted me
Placed me into this world to take me away
I have died a merciless death
Stricken by the world
These actions justified by all
Why?
Because I have yet to take my first breath
Why?
Because society says I have yet to Live
They killed me
Killed my brothers, my sisters
All of us constrained from life
The gift given to me by God stripped away
I am dead before I have gotten to live
"Help!" I scream
But you cannot hear me
Why?
Because you are too busy justifying sin
God, our father, forgives you of your wrongs
He is here to hold your hand
Don't live in fear for he is here
My voice travels in the hearts of all
My message never forgotten
Death is not the answer
Life is for all
It is not her choice, but God's
Not your life, but ours
Not your body, but his
You say he took you're innocence and left you no choice
I say what about mine
What about my choice?
I was put here to heal your pain
It doesn't matter that he left you
That they don't accept you
Or that life is tough
You are not alone
I am here
Give me a choice
Not only is there struggle, but there is hope
Don't let the sorrows of yesterday seep into the today's and tomorrow's
Choose life
Choose hope
Choose me
No more aborting me
You are not a murderer, but a child in need
Take my hand
Walk with me
And Live
Let God wash away your pain
"Walk through the shadows of death and fear no evil"
Let the hands of John the Baptist immerse you
No longer are you a victim of your circumstances, but a survivor of the war
Forget about the judgment
Forget about the pain
Forget about the struggle
And believe in the gain
Open your ears child to hear the whispers of the Lord
Open your heart child to be filled with his unconditional love
