live outside the box

we tell ourselves we can't live without

love,

financial stability,

a roof above our heads,

shoes on our feet,

an education.

we can't live without a job;

we can't have a job

without fitting in.

and fitting in is what our society is all about.

talk right,

act right,

be the same as everyone else

and you won't be singled out.

close yourself in a box of

normality

and don't express your differences.

maybe even be better at being

"normal"

than everyone else is

and you will be powerful in society.

we say we can't live

without fitting in.

what about fitting

out?
