To Live Without

If you leave

Take me

I'd rather bleed

Then learn to live without

Now

After everything

All we know

All we are

It wouldn't change a thing

Near or far

You promised me

And I said yes

You and your brown eyes

Me and my ripped dress

You promised me

You love me

So can't you see

There is no learning

To live without

Not now

Draining me

Until I'm boneless

It hurts

Unlike anything

I've ever known

Before

It used to be easy

To hide

Take the hit

Against my pride

And then pick a side

But tonight

Beside you

I know now

There is no learning

To live without

Don't ask me

Don't even try it

You're asking

The impossible

When you ask me

To go on

Turn my cheek

Watch you leave

And feel nothing

How can you tell me

You love me

And then expect me

To just let you walk away

Don't you see

Can't you understand

I'm not me

Without you

So tell me

Teach me

If you must leave

Teach me

How to learn

To live without
