To Live Without Music

If my piano was locked away deep

Under the waves, below the sea

The keys I can’t touch wouldn't sound like much

But it would still be calling me.

To live without music

If only for a day,

Life would go on, but color and sound

Would dull and fade to gray.

If my piano was hung from a cloud

Tied with a string, above the ground

My soul would be weeping and ‘ever be sleeping

A sleep while its dreaming of sound.

To live without music

If only for a day,

Life would go on, but color and sound

Would dull and fade away.
