Lives Unentered

The People you never meet

Why such sorrow

When they leave

You don't even know them

But you feel something

A connection

You long for them to stay

As they leave

Like the passing of summer

Feeling a chill as they walk

Leaving

Unentered into your life

You wonder if you will ever see them again

Watching waiting for destiny to run

the course you have suddenly chosen

a course that crosses through theirs

And when they're gone

Reassurance sets in

Blocking out that beckoning song

Longing to escape from your mouth

Only then do you realize

What you're hoping for

An Entrance.
