Living Epitaph

Here there lies

An empty head

Where hopes and dreams

Once were instead.

The blankest stare

From vacant eyes

Should by this point

Be no surprise.

The screams and prayers

Fall on deaf ears-

The mouth still moves,

But no one hears.
