The living lotus flower

I am the product of a dirty water

Who believed death loved her

Death was her best friend

Death loved her loved ones

Taking away their chance to see her blossom, nevertheless

I continued to…

I am the blend of prosperous leaves

Even though some did bloom

As my petals bruised, and some came along later

I am the crop who challenged the wetland

That is determined to develop her colors

Despite all the hatred

Thick, muddy, marsh like surroundings hindering my success

I am the yield that was not suppose to live

But as I kept pushing

I became the legacy I am today,

That is still growing

As my unfolding leaves continue to unravel

I will develop and gain my colors

Whose appearance is clean and pure

I am beautiful

But as I float high and proud

I remain engraved in my thick, muddy, marsh like surroundings

That enhanced and contributed to my success

I AM THE LIVING LOTUS FLOWER
