Living Messages

A smile, a frown, some tears, some laughs

Conveys a message.

Handshakes, hugs, shrugs

Have unique meaning.

Communication is important to life.

Without it, love ceases, relationships dissolve.

No more friends, no more jokes,

No more understanding . . . just emptiness

Fortunately, I can commune

To sisters, to friends, to pets

Through giggles and notes,

But most important to God.
