Living Past, Without Present

Forethought lost to hindsight images flashed. Past smouldering inside the mind confined. Insanity, peeking through clouded contradictions. Waiting for regret to completely blind. Loneliness arisen, by irony's repetitive tune. Like the snake to soothing tones played. Choreographed to disorient. Performed to the beat betrayed. I have become but a faceless vagrant, staring into a mirror tarnished through. Hope, scrubbing at that which obstructs, my reflection from these tired eyes view. Exhaustion setting in, from time spent on hopes one task. Excruciating be the pain, living life through ones revolving past. These guilt soaked chains i must be freed, before time marches on without me. Or lest i be tortured, by life's past visions reality.
