Living through Poetry

Through poetry,

We see with more than just our eyes,

We sense more than just what lies,

We feel more than just with touch,

As well as cry with more than just our tears much.

As distant as we may grow,

Poetry helps us to connect in an easy flow,

And possibly understand each other,

Rather than become so egotistical

That we begin to despise one another.

Poetry can be as a happy as a ray of sunlight,

Or as dark as a thief in the night.

But through poetry,

You can truly understand someone’s emotion

Though it’s not always as clear as the ocean.
