Living With The Unknown Devil

Growing up I didn't have much to call my own

Bounced around from place to place, hotel to hotel

Barely have any food to eat

But I had a family; that was all I needed

Time goes by as I seem to fly

Sister born 2002; Brother born 2006

Times you think was full of bliss

Has now turned into burning hell's of a tender kiss

"Kiya you're adopted," the words my mother said to me

My whole world change and the man I knew as my father was no longer there

I grew up and with growing up I started developing early

Then 7th grade hit and that's when the lovely innocent child everyone knew had died

From the years of 7th grade to my junior year of high school

I've been through and seen things no child should ever endure

Mother thinking that I wanted her man meaning I wanted sex

My own mother thought that, yet she didn't want to believe he was

The touching, the rubbing, the molesting, the guns, the detailed letters, the last physical fight...

Yes I'm a victim to it all, blaming myself like his family did

Still to this day I feel it is all because of me

But I stand here strong fighting this fight

I was living with the devil and he can't knock a child of God
