Llama

I had a llama

His body was white

but the bright brown

color of dirt

was from his neck

to the top of his head

My llama

was tinier than others,

way too small

My llama looked weak

I could hold him in my hand

and I swore to protect him

But then

while walking somewhere

I lost my llama

He slipped out of my hand

and I looked for him

everywhere

I thought my llama was weak,

I thought my llama wouldn't fit in

Until I found him

with his friends

who were not llamas

and were llamas

And I smiled
