A Lo-Fi in A World of X- Pro II
If I were a filter I would be the most obsolete of the bunch
Without the façade of tempering with saturation levels I’m no prize
Although my mom always warned me, I still sit with a hunch
When I’m not censoring myself I’m told I can come off tough
What they don’t know is that I’m vulnerable especially to lies
There are days I’m insecure and I don’t feel, as I’m enough
On picture it appears as I’m filled with charisma and grace
Those who know me know that my laugh is annoying loud
And that I’m always trying to hide the double chin in my face
They don’t know my thoughts that run through my head unruly
Do they know that my favorite nights are spent at home where it is quiet and sound
Or even that I make Spotify playlists incase my life turns into a movie
It’s hard to come off as real in a world that is so fake
People hiding who they are trying to pretend
Girls running around on crash diets afraid to even eat cake
I’d like to think that I’m already the most honest person I can be
Even if I’m a victim to a good filter every now and again
I realized that the best time spent is when I’m just being me
