The Loaner
The Loaner
Have you enjoyed what I’ve lent you?
Did it serve your purpose?
I didn’t ask you for anything for its use.
You can’t buy it from me – it’s not for sale.
You can have it as long as you can take care of it,
I reserve the right to repossess it at any time.
Not even your Loyalty could pay for it.
I’ll even let you decide your Penalty for mistreating it.
The only thing I ask is that you share it.
You see I only had one like the one I gave you and I would like many to enjoy it.
Thank you for lending this to me
I’ve become quite fond of it.
I hope you don’t mind the condition it will be in when returned.
I hope you don’t take this as a plea.
I can be quite the Hypocrite.
I can’t fathom what I could have done to have earned it.
I’ve used and abused this thing you’ve lent me.
Some might tell you I’ve treated it like shit.
It’s true I could have treated it better, but I have tried to keep it intact.
I don’t know how soon you want it back, but I’d like to keep it for a while longer.
I can’t possibly pay you for its use.
So, from here on I’ll use it for your benefit. Not mine.
Thank you for giving me this Life Lord
I’m almost done with it, but I’ll let you decide when you need it back
