Lock and Hide the Bad

If I pretend to know why I’m here,

Pretend I have a clue what I’m doing,

Will you believe I have no fear?

Or that I have never wanted to stop trying?

I wish I could show that I’m sad,

But people lock and hide the bad,

While they put the good on display,

To show everyone they’re okay.

I am a broken person,

But you have shown me how to heal

Now I am a stronger person,

And I know how to feel

I wish I could show that I’m sad,

But people lock and hide the bad,

While they put the good on display,

To show everyone they’re okay.

Everyone has their bad days,

But you show me no one is always alone.

If I try to get rid of my bad ways

Then my light will be shown

People always have a reason to be broken.

You should know you have a reason to smile.

I can show you now when I’m sad,

I don’t lock and hide the bad,

But I still put the good on display,

Because I’m trying to be okay.
