Lock and Key

Young children want heroes

Heroic tales of saving the day

People to look up to in life

Someone upon which to base their play

The problem with this though

Is people are always just people

Someone who you thought was strong as a child

May really be frail and feeble

This doesn’t change who they are though

The person you wanted to be

It simply means you put them on a pedestal

And kept their image under lock and key.
