Lock and Key

How safe are we really When we lock our doors Every night Double checking They can't get in But they can. How safe are we When we can watch a human die Right in front of our eyes And not do a thing But we won't. Is someone safe When they leave home with no clue If they will have the privilege Of coming home And they won't. How safe are you When the bottle Is the easy choice And you fail to see The hole you continue To dig Deeper. We are not safe Not really Not even at all.
