Locked Away
The time passed.
This is real life.
Vaguely remembering what you did
You feel shame and Overwhelming regret.
Why.
The white wall stares at you.
The dust in the air grabs your attention.
You know you will be in this Narrow and shameful
Dark room for the rest of your time here on earth.
The foul odors of your unfriendly neighbors
Are making you nauseous.
The dark windowless room is unkind
And hateful.
Ice cold.
You are needing an escape from
The carnivorous environment
Of your overly secure domain.
The only thing that is holding you back
From the things that you most desire
Is the unbreakable bars.
You feel the rough metal rods.
The cold texture shocks your unclean fingers.
Then you squeeze them so hard
That your knuckles are turning white
Like the walls.
You listen as your neighbor shuffles his
Feet as his pacing his lonely cell.
You have lost all hope that has been with you
For days.
You sit on the crusty, brown stained floor
And cry.
It has been five long years and your
Loved ones have not visited you.
You know you let them all down
And they will not forgive you.
You hurt them.
This Cruel white-walled unforgettable like
Place Is Shapeless miniature hell.
There is no option.
There is no hope.
There is no light.
It's all over for you.
