Locked Nest 2020

The shore of the beach,

The creature sings to me soft,

So beautifully.

Trash floats in the sea

The majestic beast wanders

So gentle, aimless.

Large, loyal, docile,

Weeps to me, never to you,

For dread is bears near.

Waiting, searching, will

Full of hope for in this world

To see what I seen.

Choking on plastic

Lost hopelessly in the sea

Attempts to meet me.

Awaiting the day

We meet our brutal, true fate

The beast never shown
