Locked Up One More Night

WHEN I WAS LOCKED UP IN THE THOUGHT

OF THE ONE THAT'S BEING BOUGHT

IT ALWAYS LEFT ME WITH A SIGN

THAT SAID THAT YOU WOULD NOT BE MINE.

THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE

WAS TO RIP THE UGLY TAPE

RIGHT OFF MY TENDER LIPS

AND THROW IT WHERE THE SEA DIPS

DOWN TO THE BLACK ABYSS

WHERE FISH LIVE LIVES LIKE THIS.

IN THE DARKNESS THERE THEY HIDE

WITH NO ONE BY THEIR SIDE

JUST LIKE THE LIFE I SEE

WHEN ALL THAT I CAN BE IS LABELED ON A BELL

THAT SEEMS TO ALWAYS YELL

THESE PROBLEMS THAT I TRY

TO KEEP BENEATH THE LIE

THAT I CAN SHOW DEFEAT

THAT I CANNOT BE BEAT

WHILE ALL THE WHILE I KNOW

THAT I'M JUST PUTTING ON A SHOW

TO HIDE THE UGLY SIN

WHICH I AM LIVING IN.

OHHH HELP ME TO ESCAPE,

TO LIVE A LIFE OF LOVE

WHEN ALL THAT I CAN BE

IS HIDDEN FROM YOU ABOVE.
