Locked out of mother's arms

Dear Mother

Your expection bar is running high

The lever to your wishes is broken

I cant look into your eyes,

How I'm filled with lies

I cant bear to see your tears

The disappointment in your cries

I can't follow your god as passionately as you

Pressure is along-side my spine

What was I to do?

To keep a mother from disappointment

To fulfill her dreams

Before she sends me to another holy appointment

Mother, your disappointment will rain on me

Because the man you thought you raised to fall in love with a girl

Has fallen for a boy to be free

Free from the suffocating bar of expectations

Free from the forceful holy teachings

Free from the shameful hesitations

Losing a mother's warmth is no harm

Mother's arms always in imagery

Locked out of mother's arms.
