Locks of Love

I donated my hair today,

and the change from long hair to short hair

feels sort of like when you're walking down the stairs

and you think there's an extra step -

but there isn't.

That split second of surprise

and uncertainty

and a drop of fear.

But change isn't supposed to be like that

if you can embrace it

change will give you new opportunities

a new outlook on life

Change by itself is fearsome

but change with enthusiasm is always welcome.
