Logorrhea

To catch an eye, how all else ceases! Pondering in, pruning for a hint of poignancy Prodding, Provoking the moment for a thesis Cohesion with eyes, achieving buoyancy For what? To hear through the eyes? To pick apart the mind? To empathize? A circle of color A flash of white mostly What is it that tells us from one another? Intention is growing gaunt and ghostly Eye elation and conversation Through unintended cessation And subconscious rules of causation All with, one single frame A second of unrecognizable divulgence Warped, gloomed, and maimed All in a brief glimpse, yet no contingence

...In a world encumbered by excessive use of verbal and written communication. This poem also reaches out to those affected by autism and similar disorders that deprive the individual of the ability to achieve meaningful conversation through solely eye contact.

This poem regards the beauty of communicating through the eyes and grieves for those who do not have the ability to sustain such meaningful eye contact.
