The London Bridge is falling down

A train was blown up in London

And as the metal flew through the air

The bomber didn’t wonder

If there was a baby there

The blast was like a roaring thunder

It simply wasn’t fair

This was not a blunder

The bomber didn’t care

A man strapped a bomb to his waist

And then attempted to fly

But someone started to pray

Before the airplane hit the sky

He thought it was an act of grace

But he never wondered why

Someone told him it was okay

They told him a big fat lie

There were innocent lives at stake

But the bomber didn’t think

He saw a toddler not even awake

She was dressed in pretty pink

His heart didn’t ache

As he sipped on a drink

The lives he tried to take

And he didn’t even blink

It’s time to make the declaration

To stop letting the enemy revel

It’s time to make an evaluation

He’s causing us to dishevel

It’s time to make a dedication

Stop letting him make us bevel

With his lies and deceit in formation

He deserves a medal

We must make a proclamation

That not on any level

Should we put our situation

Into the hands of the devil?

Darlena ThePoet

Greetings: I am a nurse and a mother of five with four grandchildren. I have been writing poetry for several years. I am not a professional, but I believe that that is because my work has just never made it into the right hands. However, I guarantee that anyone who read my poetry will enjoy my work. I am currently working on my second book of spiritual poetry, which has not yet been published. My first book of spiritual poetry has been published, as well as a children's book, 'No Bubble Bath for Desmond.' I am very excited to reach out to the world even further with my writing.
