Lone Wolf

She made connections with my friends
She never reads what they send.
Never answers our calls
Never tells us about her falls.
Broken, tired, and alone
She walks this path all alone.
No one pities her,
No one helps her and that's what is wrong.
She made connections with my friends
Yet it seems like she disappeared.
Up and down we search
Yet we can't find her.
One day we found her
Down by the river
Dead, in a heap all tangled up.
We finally seen
The truth that was hidden up.
She made connection with my friends
While she was hurting inside.
We now know what happens
When a child is abused.
