Loneliness

Location

Hey there Lonely,

I want you to know that you aren't alone.

That you aren't the only one.

And I know that that blade, those pills -

They are rather tempting.

Trust me, I know.

I've been there before.

But darling,

Take a good look in the mirror for me.

That's right, stand in front of it.

You see that face staring you back in the mirror,

Those hollow eyes seeing right through you to your soul?

Put down the blade, put down the pills.

Put that fire back into your eyes.

Smile genuinely,

Laugh as loudly and as hard as you can.

Because darling,

You are worth it.

Every single inch of you.

Every single flaw is perfect.

You are perfect in your imperfections

And maybe you don't think so,

That's alright, I understand.

But let me be that small voice in the back of your head;

Telling you all the little things about you that make you a wonderful person.

I will tell you until my throat is sore from talking,

Until my voice goes hoarse from the words I tell you.

You are worth it.

Every single inch of you.

Every single flaw is perfect.

You are perfect in your imperfections.

Hey, thanks. That made me cry, it really hits home. Just, thank you.

You're welcome, so so welcome. I know what it's like to go through self-harm, and now I hope to reach out to people and be the person that tells them that they are perfect just the way they are.
