Loneliness

A low ache

A growing pain

Too hard to see

What I could gain

Darkening skies

A clouded soul

Listless wandering

Without a real goal

Faintly I sigh

Blankly I look

Towards the vivid emptiness

My loneliness took

Firm hold of me

Painfully overwhelms

Often I have traversed

These silent realms

Blurred mind

Dull hurt

The wretched pangs remain

In darkness inert
