Loneliness

Dear Depression,

Another day has come and gone

with moonlit rays receding to the approaching dawn.

Why, oh why, do you make me feel all alone

even with friends coming to and fro?

Books seem to be the only thing

to keep my head above the waves

especially in these lonely days.
