loneliness
Loneliness drove me into the woods
It took me by the hands and gave me a good push
I fell in a deep hole covered in darkness
Sadness and loneliness
The voice said "Do not neglect me"
"For you must face me before I set you free."
I said, "You are a waste of time."
"Within seconds my hands were paralysed."
The voice said, "Instead of running away from me
"Just like a sick person, I am very weak."
Loneliness gave me a crown
And then it frowned
And said, "Do you want life to be like this?"
"To be easy and rich."
"Is that what you want from life?"
"Will that make you feel alive?"
Within seconds, darkness turned to light
Even when day was night
Loneliness decided to give me what I wanted
It gave me everything I desired
It gave me money
And filled my life with milk and honey
It gave me friends and fame
And everyone knew my name
It made life so easy for me
And made me do as I pleased
What loneliness gave to me was great
It just took my breath away
I spend time doing as I please
Buying my wants and my needs
Everything was how I wanted it to be
It was what I believed that would set me free
But then night came again
And then once more, I was lonely and afraid
I tried accepting loneliness
But it buried me in deep sadness
I laid in bed alone
With no one to phone
Tears dripped down my face
And that was when loneliness took me away
