Lonely

Sat, 09/15/2018 - 23:34 -- JDiatte

Why would you leave me?
Why would you forsake me?
How could you lift me up, then drop me?
Pour your heart into me
Then pour it back out for all to see?
Tourment me with evil thoughts
Bringing me closer to death itself
Hanging by a thread on Satan’s shelf
I’m locked up in a cage of emotions
The keys in the outside
She’s holding it
I look at her, she looks away
I start sinking more deeply into the concrete
Love is rushing through my soul like bad medicine
Will this feeling ever stray away?
Why am I bleeding?
Why am I not breathing?
My hearts pumping faster than ever
The weather is changing in the cage
She walks towards me
Says I love you
I’m so blind to the realities of life
God I don’t need you anymore
The air flows back through my lungs
I’m edging back up to the surface of the cage
My blood dries up right in its place
The world is all I need
The earth is all I see
I buy her the world
She is my world
Buying pockets full of laughter
Sunshine and rainbows
If I don’t make her laugh, my blood pours back
But my heart is full now
Warmth shining off of my face
Battles scars shadowing my path
Echoing off the pavement but I push it back
The happiness is like lightning, quick and fast
Sharp rolls of thunder rumbling ahead
I throw those back into the shed
Smiles like bubble gum until the flavor fades
I ignore His face, she’s all I see
But I breathe and He hears me
I speak and He listens to me
I walk and He follows me
But why do I not notice Him?
Why am I blind to the happiness He shows me,
And choose abandonment?
The world will soon end
Where will my happiness be then?
Puting my laughter in the worlds hands
It shapes it within its own timing
The clock will soon sound
With that my joy will be found
Night mares, night gouns, all I see
But it’s not eternal, not internal
It’s external, reversible
Changing with every breathe
But there’s hope for that death!
Hope! Like the smell of buttery popcorn
Be calm now, watch that movie
And take a deep breath.
