Lonely.

Not a word

The silence growing longer

Thinking

Continuing for hours on hours

Sleep

I am restless, nothing will relieve me

Breathe

My breath is heavy, uncontrollable

My lids slowly taper near sleep

Think

The thoughts swirl

Hour upon hour I lay awake

Dawn

The sun is not tired

She waits for no one

Sleep

All I want is sleep
