Lonely

Psalm 42:5 New English Translation (NET Bible)

Why are you depressed, O my soul?
Why are you upset?
Wait for God!
For I will again give thanks
to my God for his saving intervention.

Let me be what I need to be: "me-only"

I want to feel sorry as I am depressed

I won’t reside in the realm of the lonely

I just want to be noticed like the rest

Join the club is not my style

I am a loner deep in the heart

But I like for some to listen

There my ignorance to impart

Where to go from loneliness?

Where to find my better self?

I don’t know where to really start

Like an unread book upon a shelf

Just for a show, I hang around

Hoping to be picked up one day

In expectation not to be dropped

Or to be read in just one page

Maybe after all my friend

The race-track is right at your feet

Start your engine and be careful

don't trust the road beneath
